Nordic GEM, the corporate service provider to the global business in the Nordics, is pleased to appoint Maria Almerud as Chief Commercial and Sustainability Officer as it continues to embrace and grow its support to clients across the region as well as building on its sustainability strategy.
Maria Almerud – Chief Commercial and Sustainability Officer
Maria joins from TMF Group where she has held several roles, including Global Service Delivery Leader for their entity management clients and Managing Director for their Swedish office. She brings over 20 years of legal and financial service expertise, with specialisation in corporate and governance, capital markets, client relationship and business development as well as sustainability matters.
Prior to this she worked in London, focusing on compliance and regulatory issues with firms such as Hogan Lovells, Kroll Ontrack, and Debevoise and Plimpton. Earlier in her career Maria worked at Ukrainian leading law firm Konnov and Sozanovsky, PERE Amstar Europe, as well as at Ukraine’s largest bank PrivatBank within its investment business.
Maria’s primary strengths lie in building and leading sustainable and successful teams and developing strong client relationships leading to mutual growth. By her appointment to CCSO Maria will be working with the leadership team of the company to enhance the solid growth in the Nordic region and will continue to develop and implement the growth strategy. Maria’s strong focus on sustainability and ESG matters backed by certification in ESG Investing by the CFA Institute will see her taking lead in our company’s and clients’ sustainability agendas.
